This morning while stuck behind a wreck on my way to work, I finally realized that in Fiend or Foul (on Innocent Blood), Wendi doesn't say "buy yourself a beer" but rather "buy yourself a mirror". That makes so much more sense.
So I thought it would be fun(ny) to talk about misheard lyrics...

When Switchfoot's "Gone" started playing on the radio, I kept thinking they were singing "like Al Pacino's cat" instead of "like Al Pacino's cash". I couldn't figure out what was so significant about his cat...

The chorus of Petra's "Judas Kiss" goes "It must be like another thorn stuck in your brow". For years I thought he was saying "It must be like another fork stuck in your mouth"

For a long time I thought the line "nothing left to lose / loving You again" in Red's "Already Over" was actually "nothing left to lose /now that You are dead". It sort of makes sense, but that's not quite what they're singing.
On a related note, singing along to your favorite Christian rock songs with a couple hundred other people at a concert is so much fun

I came across this thread & wanted to include a couple of mine.
The first line of X-Sinner's 'Steppin' On Toes' Real Lyrics: I've fallen in my faith. What I heard: I farted in my face.
Sacrament 'Haunts of Violence'
Real Lyrics: Evil closes in without a fight. What I still hear: Evil closes in without a fart.
Oh yeah, Chris Stapleton's song Parachute; I've got a co-worker convinced he's saying Pair of Shoes.

Trouble with some of those, is if you know the lyrics are wrong (and don't have the lyric sheet available) it is virtually impossible to work out what it actually is, for every time you hear it you hear the wrong words.

I was thinking the same thing. Now I'm going back through my Lordchain albums to find hidden references to flatulence in the lyrics.
