Today is a good day to stay off Facebook

Lots of vitriol in the wake of the American election. I've promised myself not to comment on the results in public.

Another reason I am glad I am not on FB.

I'm just sad Rik Flair didn't win

Yeah, my wife and I "unplugged" while on our trip. I'm hesitant to jump back into to it too much. I think I may not be on there anymore.

I have seen very little vitriol on Facebook over the election.  With that said, most of the far leaning liberal people on FB I am friends with have unfriended me because I was voting Trump.  I can live with that.

You should get on FB, if for no other reason, to see the picture I posted of myself as an old man.

It was interesting during the election. I was surprised how many Christians supported Trump and how many people on either side were just ready for the election to be over.

I did support Trump.  I couldn't agree with many of Clinton's positions.  I don't want her picking the next three SCOTUS seats, either.  Other than that, I can't say that I loved either.  I would have preferred Carson but he never really showed any real grit and swagger that, sadly, American political hopefuls need to show to be elected.

I'm currently in self-imposed exile from Facebook. I deleted it from my phone and favorites bar just so I won't be tempted to log in. I confess the whole election nonsense got a bit under my skin and I was quite vocal from time to time, no doubt driving away a few of the friends I had. I'm even struggling to put myself in check here and now as this election has me so torqued off! Now I will say no more before I have to go into exile from here as well!

Here's hoping Miley and Kanye keep their word.

Amen to that, brother!  That whole list of now 23 stars saying they will leave just need to go.  Stop doing tours here.  Stop doing movies here.  Just get out if you can't accept a loss.  We regular every day folk have to when our candidate loses.  Poor rich spoiled brats.

I understand. I don't like Hillary either but it's hard for me to stomach Trump's racism, sexism, bragging about sexually assaulting women, multiple affairs and divorces and generally his slimy, nasty personality.

But all that aside, I really liked Gary Johnson (Independent, I think even though I generally am a Libertarian) and was hoping this election would be the one where someone other than a Democrat or Republican won. I think one of the problems with our whole system is that it's one party or the other and folks like me (and maybe you too alldat) feel like they're just choosing the lesser of two evils rather than a candidate they believe in and support.

I know, that is just so ridiculous and indicative of the spoiled brat mentality that is becoming our national identity.  I'm just sick of all of it.  Yeah, our side lost.  Now we gotta suck it up and accept it just like you told the McCain and Romney supporters to do 4 and 8 years ago.  If you can't handle that, then just take your blankies and your puggies and go away.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Republican part start to splinter even more.  And that is probably a good thing.

I voted Constitution Party several elections ago but I haven't seen them on the ballot since.

I voted Constitution Party several elections ago but I haven't seen them on the ballot since.

They were on the ballot in your state. In fact, they were on the ballot in 24 states and eligible for "write-in" in 22 others. There were only four states where residents could not vote for Darrel Castle.

Ugh I really miss the days when the worst offense on Facebook was people over-zealously sharing pictures of their food...  Now it's just this political battleground and it's terrible.

I was glad that I don't had to vote.
