Someone on this board has previously had a bad experience with ordering CDs directly from David. So I would buy with caution.

I'll just stick with the downloads I bought.

Have recently ordered some CDs.
Have to wait now.

No issues.

I gotta admit 5 bucks sounds good for just about anything, but I bought Purpose Of The Cross for $3 and I didn't think it was worth that. Listened to it 2-3 times and then put it away, IMO it just isn't very good and because of it I have avoided his stuff ever since.

What ever happened to his "multiple album record deal" with Intense Millennium? I remember he was one of the "new" artists signed to the "label". I guess they went belly-up and his deal was over.

Intense Millennium never fulfilled their end of the agreement for a lot of people. Including Under Command. 

Worst company ever.

Yeah they dropped the ball big time! I think they over estimated how many copies of the classics would sell. My belief is they didn't sell very well and that was because Human Sacrifice was limited to 200 on a bonus disc and 2 years after its release the bonus disc was still for sale. Meaning it sold less than 200! Then I found Destruction Comes for $3 I think along with David Benson. $6 total I think. Both are not my style but I bought them anyway to show my support. I'm still glad I bought both but they are discs I will prob never play again. 

With that said are there samples of the David Benson that you are referring to?

I bought several IMR releases when they were still around. I don't listen to them too often, but I still do sometimes. I think it would have been better had Roxx released them instead.

Roxx was part of  IMR!! Till James was massing things up he pulled out! Tell you the truth I know  Bill wish he never had been part of it!!

James was also the one who ran Divine Metal Distro, for those that aren't aware. So that tells you all you need to know right there.




As for David Benson samples...(he is with Victor Griffin of Pentragram on this cd BTW)

I am not sure he would still honor the price today or not, his post (and my original post here) stated it ended Sunday night

I saw that on Facebook this morning. What a great deal.

Even at that price, I still couldn't pull the trigger on this one. I have his prior works, too. Huge Sabbath/Ozzy fan in my former life. And this has Victor Griffin's great guitar. Just cannot stand the voice or songwriting (the redone old demos are the most bearable).

I bought all of his CDs from him on Cyber Monday because he had a great deal going. Well it is now Jan 4 and I still have not received the CDs.

Same here!! So I pm him on facebook and asked for a refund on my  paypal!! he said ok  but he would do it over the weekend.. I waited till this Tuesday and still no refund so I pm him again on Facebook told him I was going to put in a action with paypal he refunded my money that day!

Wow. Glad I passed.

Sadly I have heard more than 2 or 3 people complain about purchasing music directly from DB (never got it, or it came months later).  I would likely never buy anything directly from him.

That's why I'm glad I purchased the special edition from Roxx

Roxx always is great. However, I am kind of disappointed in the packaging. You would think the special edition would be in a jewel case rather than a cd sleeve.

Since I am the one who started this thread..let me just say what I said over in CMR, 

for what it's worth, he probably sold several hundred cds when he dropped the price like that. Meaning that he has to open and sign each and every one. Then he has to do up the mailing envelopes for each one. I would also imagine that he takes them in large batches to the post office, not just when he has 50 or so done. Not to mention that the post office is generally slammed leading up to Christmas. 

Plus throw in personal obligations I am sure he had for Christmas and New Years, which I am sure took up some of his time, plus whatever "day job"  he has. 

I would think that 3 to 4 weeks under those circumstances would be fair. I am betting that they start showing up between now and early next week.

As for why mine got to me quicker...I ordered mine the very first time he announced the sale, before he dropped the price so low. So since he had not sold as many at that time (hence why he lowered the price again), I didn't have to wait for a bunch to be signed. 

Also, by ordering when I did, I got in before the holidays started chewing up time. 
I would say my turn around time was 2 weeks or so. 

So with the added issues I mentioned, it doesn't surprise me it would take 3 to 4 weeks. 

Again, this is all just from me based on what I think are possible logical explanations.

Wow..yeah...for that kind of money just to be in a sleeve kinda sucks. The one I bought from David B directly is in a sleeve but at 1/3 of the cost.
