Your favorite CD for this year.

Now it's December we have to think to make our top .... for this year.
What's your favorite CD for this year and what will be on number 2 and 3?

Too soon for me to decide, but  I have started thinking about it.

#1 for me is Michael Sweet. I really haven't cared for this other solo albums but this one is tops for me. Excellent.

As every year I need time to make a favorite top for this year.

It's excellent. Some of the songs appear on earlier albums (Long Way From My Home is on Slow Burn, Light of the Morning Star and What You Did are on Trimmed & Burnin', Since I Laid My Burdens Down and This Train are on Bound For Glory) but these versions are all just a touch different. Plus, it's Glenn. He's so good it's hard not to support him.

Most of my favorite releases this year were from secular bands, though within the Christian realm there were a few pretty good ones:

Crimson Moonlight
Departe (not a "Christian band" but the singer/lyricist is and it's apparent in their lyrics)
Hesychast
Orationem
Pantokrator (Awesome God single - it's so good!)
Sawol (just a three-song EP but really enjoyable)
Theocracy

As much as listening to your own music is frowned upon in some circles, the CD I've listened to most this year is Joshua's Creed.

I can understand that. It's a great release, and it has earned a place in my top 8-10 for the year.

I hear you, man!  I have done the same thing with my own release.  I am still amazed by how good it turned out.

A buddy of mine wanted the new Skillet so I got him this:

That's a great looking cast iron skillet.  Looks almost exactly like the one I use at home and it seriously cooks!
