As I mentioned in other posts, this is another song that will be part of a larger concept album project. I hope you all like it. Please feel free to give your feedback here. We plan for this to be our first single so we need to get it right!
This song is based on the fact that we are all born innocent, but as we grow we are given choices and tempted. The person this song refers to has chosen the wrong road. Hence the lyric:
Devil teases wants what he can get Wakeful sleeper blindly lets him in Making decisions without using my head My life, My lullaby
IT'S AVAILABLE NOW! ON AMAZON, GOOGLE PLAY, CDBABY, AND GROOVE. It should be available on Spotify and iTunes in another day or two.
Thank you all so much for listening!!

Really like the heavy part. In the beginning section of the song your vocalist sounds like she has a touch of Melissa Etheridge in her.

Listening now, the only constructive criticism I would have is that it's not on CD in my hands right now! Needless to say I dig it!

Too much processing on her voice at 2:36 and 3:38 makes it hard to make out what she is saying. Drum mix here sounds better than Defy the Demons.

Your singer sounds like a cleaner (aka less "gruff") version of Gena McClure of Towne Cryer. 10 points if you've heard of them, 20 points if you have actually heard them.

Thanks for the candor topshot.
BearDad, I'm afraid it will be zero points for me. But I'm listening to them on Spotify now. I'm listening for the similarity but not finding it. Did you send me on a wild goose chase just to promote Towne Cryer? Lol!

I'm listening to them right not too and asking myself why I thought that. LOL! I think where I heard the similarity was with TC's "Always There", the last song on Death by Sin, and what I heard that maybe made me think that was your gal's slight warble and her slurring (not the right word, as I don't mean to imply she sounds drunk , but the best I could think of ) between some of the words. Admittedly, though, Gena from TC has a more Stevie Nicks tone.
Meh. Just chalk it up to some senile old fart (not there yet, but knocking on the door) that doesn't have a clue.

I really like the track, but I'm having trouble understanding the vocals pretty much throughout. I give it another listen later when there are fewer distractions around (like an 8 year-old distraction and a 6 year-old distraction).

OK gang it's finally done and released! Thank you all very much for the compliments and suggestions.
The song is available now on Amazon, Google Play, Groove, and CDBaby. It will be on iTunes and Spotify in another day or so. I also completely overhauled our website adding in song lyrics and song samples of our other works in progress.

I'm pretty proud of this one. I live in Pennsylvania and Jenny lives in New Zealand! This song took nearly 100 back and forth emails to complete!

With our Joshua's Creed project Tanner and I worked on things together here in Montana and Dillon did the vocals in North Carolina. Lots of messaging back and forth via email and Facebook.

Glad you added in some lyrics for some of it.
Curious about the legalities, but are you under the amount of time needed before showing the copyright info for the movie clips you used? Thought the video was quite well done but don't want to see you have any issues over that.

I did some research on fair use, but it's a bit vague in the language. So I kept the video on YouTube unlisted and it can only be viewed from the website or if I embed it somewhere, like here. To your point though, I should add something to the website describing where the clips are from.
