The question for today is.

Do you ever take God for grantet. And the things he gives you?

my answer for this would be I do sometimes. I try not to but I do.

We take so much for granted that we don't even realize that we are doing it. When was the last time we thanked God that we had a TV? The last CD we bought? I've been working for the same company for nearly 18 years, and somedays it is easy to think that I got the job and have kept it. In reality, I just showed up when God blessed.

It's natural to think that we have someway provided good things for ourselves. But, when we catch ourselves doing this, that's when we need to remember:

Quote:
James 1:17

Every good andperfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

I am definately guilty of this as well. It is all to easy to take all the good he has provided us for granted.

When I pray to Him, I always try to start with telling Him I am thankful for Him and all He has given me.

I have a question. When you pray to God (by yourself) do you do it out-loud, or silently?

I'll answer that one. I do both. It depends on where I am when I am praying as to how I talk to the Lord. If I am in a church service, I tend to pray quietly so as to not disturb others. If I am alone in the truck (great prayer closet!) or when I'm on the machine at work, I talk out loud. I'm sure people think I'm crazy and just talking to myself, but that's okay. I'm used to people staring at me.

Even when I am alone I tend to pray silently. I do pray quite often in my car.

It is impossible to survive without the Lord. So turn your life to him, and let him pick up the broken pieces.

When I am alone I often pray loud.
When we pray in church I pray silent so others can't here me.
Sometimes when I am at home I pray or silent or loud, it depends.

Do you pray as often as you can for whatever the need is?

I pray at least once a day, but more out of routine than need (which is shameful, I know).

And when I want something I pray more! That's like making God a 'want's only' God...............
