| The first of two compilation albums I will be on is releasing sooner than I thought. I saw this announcement today from Bongo Boy Records: - Quote :
- BACKROOM BLUES VOLUME FIVE - the Blues album by Various Artists includes The Yardbirds-Authorized, Plainfield Slim, Johnny Charles. Bobby Rue, Slim Chance & The Gamblers, Big Bone Daddy, Big Chris & D'Bare Bones Band, Katja Rieckermann ft. Joe Bonamassa, Hooyoosay Bob Birthisel, Mike Gallemore, Barb Hamilton Maxey
Release Date: 6.20.17 - W O R L D W I D E I still can't believe that my music is going to be on the same comp as a song featuring Joe Bonamassa! He is HUGE in the modern blues scene. That alone will get this comp some attention and some much needed exposure for us all. Since I know someone will ask, this is NOT a Christian project. I merely had to share my excitement. My song "Girl In The Window" is what is going to be on this album as I felt that it would fit better on a secular comp since this song is more of a story than a sermon. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| That's great news! Compilation albums are brilliant to get your name out there. I remember hearing so many great bands on those early christian metal albums. Well done! _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| While the CDs are not out, the digital version of this is! You can sample all the tracks here:

I am sure it's on iTunes as well. It should be coming to Spotify and other streaming sites VERY soon if not already.

I just noticed your comment here.... What's the big deal about Bonamassa? I mean, why is he so popular? I listened to about 5 songs of his on Youtube and they all sounded the same...

| I've noticed the song is 1 second shorter on the compilation album than it is on "When Your Time Comes". Now fans can say to each other "Do you have BOTH versions of that song?" https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=ntt_srch_drd_B01LW5M1IJ?ie=UTF8&field-keywords=Big%20Chris%20%26%20D%27Bare%20Bones%20Band&index=digital-music&search-type=ss _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... For someone outside the blues arena, your comments are valid. However, to someone outside the metal world, all of Saint or AC/DC or Iron Maiden's songs all "sound the same". Bonamassa is a brilliant guitarist who makes you feel the blues with him. Not many bluesmen make a guitar sing like he does. - Quote :

Now fans can say to each other "Do you have BOTH versions of that song?" They just simply trimmed some of the dead air off the track. There was a little silence after the song before the original track marker was placed. So, they just shaved that off. It wouldn't give them a lot of space to play around with, but every little bit helps when you are trying to put in as much music as you can on a compilation.

Actually I'm not a huge Bonamassa fan, but I appreciate what he did with Glen Hughes with Black Country Communion. I was more excited about our very own Alldat being on a compilation with a relatively big name artist. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Yeah, I don't mean to say he's bad. I love the blues but most artists have some difference in their tunes - upbeat boogie, mid-tempo burners, ballads...
All his stuff I've heard is mid-tempo and around the 5 minute mark. He's good and I appreciate his skill.

All his stuff I've heard is mid-tempo and around the 5 minute mark. He's good and I appreciate his skill. I will give you that. A lot of blues guys, in my opinion, lack a lot of variety in their music. I am trying hard to give that mix with my music just so people don't get bored. If every song sounds the same then you might as well buy an album of progressive metal with 18 minute long songs, right? _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/
