I was going to make this a "Dumb Kwestion" thread, but decided to make it a poll instead (we don't have enough polls!).

I was heating up some leftovers for lunch today and it made me wonder what my brothers and sisters at CHM typically do for lunch.

I don't fit into any 1 category.  I live .8 miles from work so I go home for lunch.  Sometimes I'll make a sandwich, or eggs.  Other times I eat leftovers.  And like today, I ate lunchmeat and string cheese.

I go home for lunch too!  Sometimes I'll make a sandwich, or eggs.  Other times I eat leftovers... hang about... this sounds rather similar...  Neutral

I usually make a sandwich for work. I live about 15 minutes down the interstate from work so it it not too convenient to go home. Never too sure what traffic and situations on the road are like. At home on my off days it depends . If I go over to my folks place to spend time with them/help with yard work, I will eat over there with them. The other day I may go out to eat or just throw something in the oven.

I would say you both fit in the "Make Something" category.
I have never lived so close to work (or school) that I could actually go home for lunch.  More than a little jealous of those who can.

I live about 35-45 minutes away from work so there is no way I could go home.  I tend to take left-overs with me to have for lunch because almost nobody else in my family will eat them.  I also tend to eat out one day a week....usually at some really unhealthy fast food joint.  I wish my parents still lived close enough so that I could see them on occasion...but they live in Texas now (who would want to live in Texas?)

I eat/fix meals for myself. So I never have left overs. It has been a long time but I used to make spaghetti once in a while to have meals thru the week. I got a little tired of eating the same thing all the time so it has been a while. I have been wanting to see about getting a crock pot/slow cooker as well as a cookbook. Figure out different things to fix up from time to time instead of just spaghetti.

I usually carry a frozen dinner and toss it in a microwave.  I don't have time at school to really do much more than that.  Shoot, I don't even get to take a break during the day.

I work at Dollar General. So I just clock out for lunch and buy my goodies right there on the spot.

My employer is kind of like prison. Once you are here you are not allowed to leave. If you do they give you an absence, even if you have been gone for only a half hour. It's like you never even showed up and they have a low tolerance for absenteeism. Normally I bring something from home but we have a cafeteria here and sometimes I will go there. It's pretty good but a bit expensive. Sometimes I just get the vegetable plate because it is the cheapest.

I chose "Make Something (the only good food is made at home!)"

I started Keto about a month ago and so I've been automating my breakfasts and lunches for ease. Breakfast is usually 2 hard boiled eggs and a bell pepper sliced up. Lunch is usually 2 cups of spinach, chard and kale mix, 2 pieces of string cheese and either grilled chicken breast or grilled thin cut pork chops.

I've been doing it 35 days (as of yesterday) and I've lost 20 pounds.

Way to go Ish!

I work at home, so "make something" it is, even if that just means making a Frankenmeal out of what I find in the fridge.

I've been cooking for 4 to 5 people for so long I don't know how to do it for just one or two.  Used to be my wife would take the kids to her mother's for a week.  I would usually cook 1 or 2 full meals and eat the same stuff for several days.  But, yeah you get sick of the same food really quick.  I've taken to freezing the left-overs just so I don't need to eat the same thing the next day.

My wife does pretty much the same thing.  Sometimes I can convince her to take some of the left-overs though....which makes her store-bought frozen meals last longer.

Wow, you rock...keep it up!  With the exception of hard-boiled eggs the food actually sounds pretty good.

An Instant pot is a pressure cooker. You can cook things in a fraction of time. For instance, I used to prepare chili the night before we were going to eat it and let it sit in the crock pot for 18-20 hours. Now I can throw everything in the instant pot and cook it for 25 minutes and it tastes the same.

Also, yes, I do rock. Thanks for noticing.

Hmmm, I might need to check into the "insta-pot"  (why the heck not just call it a pressure cooker....I know, I know, everything has to seem "new")

It's more than just a pressure cooker.  You can use it like a crock and it makes rice really quickly.
