Subject: The 3 - "Gospelbilly" Tue Jul 04, 2017 10:08 am
I recently discovered a new blues rock band from Oklahoma City called The 3. Musically, the groups sophomore album "Gospelbilly" (released earlier this year) is a combination of blues rock, hard rock and classic rock that compares favorably to Glenn Kaiser Band, Big Chris & D'Bare Bones Band, Stevie & The Saints, etc.

Strange name for a band, but they have a pretty cool sound. Thanks for sharing with us Andy.
Good observation about the bands name- I believe 'The 3' refers to the fact the group is a power trio but it could also be in reference to the Trinity.

Well now, that makes it sound a bit more clever than I gave them credit for. Maybe I need to quit being so cynical.

That lyric video has a Rolling Stones vibe. Doggone it, Wally! I am out of work for the summer and here comes the good stuff! I will have to travk this down as well.

The newest album of theirs only has 8 songs, but they are power packed! I am downloading them from Amazon right now!

Their new album "Gospelbilly" has a cool sound and has some great songs. There are only 8 tracks but there are no skippers.
Their first album "Into Light" is not such a great record. It has mostly skippers on it.
