Correct. If you in essence ask the board to host (i.e., upload) your image, it creates an account by default so that you retain control over your images. That's just the way Forumotion does it. We have no control over it, but it makes sense because you'd never be able to delete it otherwise. I think it's pretty convenient actually the few times I've used it since I don't need to deal with uploading an image elsewhere that is only for CHM.
And just so it is visible to everyone, here is how to add an image from your computer that I recently answered in the Mod Squad...
The important thing to remember is you cannot go anywhere else in your browser while doing this or the file upload dialog box will disappear. You can't even go back to your post reply so you may put your cursor where you want the pic to show up before the next step. Then, click the button highlighted below:
Either click the green "Select files" button or drag and drop your files into the box.
Click the highlighted blue (which looks green with the yellow highlight) arrow (or the "Send all" one if you selected multiple pics)
Then next to each pic, click the highlighted icon to insert the code for a full size pic into your post reply. Do that for each pic if you did multiple at once. If you prefer just a thumbnail version, use the bottom icon instead of the highlighted one.
That's it. You can now click back in your post reply and cut and paste the image code to wherever you want it to appear. Don't forget you can click the Preview instead of Send buttons to verify how your post will look.
