I try to go for a walk every day before sitting down to work. Clears the head. Warms me up...

While on my walk this morning a dude drove past, yelled, and then threw a whole, unshucked corn cob at me.

Today, for the first time ever in my life, I listened to an entire Alice Cooper album:  Hey Stoopid.

I am going to enjoy today and tomorrow.  We have so many cases of the flu in my school system that we have shut down for the next couple of days.  I hate it that people are sick, but I will will ALWAYS enjoy paid time off from work!

You know the weather is bad in Montana when they cancel the pro rodeo AND church.

It only has to cover the roads in Tennessee to shut down whole freeways, schools, churches, etc.


I went for my 6th month eye exam on Thursday.  My eye doctor has been checking me every 6 months for glaucoma.  After three checks, he wants to go to an annual exam just because I have some weird distortion of my optic nerve in my left eye.  That's good news.

The bad news is that I need new glasses as it has only been a year since I got the ones I wear now.  My left and right eyes are not focused the same and I need new lenses to balance them out.

It sucks to get old.  At least with hair coloring shampoo and beard dye, we don't have to look it, though!!!

It was a great weekend.
Yesterday in the afternoon we took Matsi for a walk to he dike along the lake. It was beautiful there.
I enjoyed the view, it was so bright, the geese and other birds in the lake.

Today we went to our son and daughter-in-law and their son.
What a lovely little man is he. He is cheerful and has to laugh about the silly things oma does to him.
Getting his sock and saying "ping" is a lot of fun.

It has been a lazy day for me. Didn't wake up until 10a, so I didn't make it to church. Spent all day watching NCIS: Los Angeles. Had Fish Sticks at lunch , a few hours later...burritos, then Mississippi Mud Pie ice cream.

After years of wondering due to having all the signs, I finally gave in and had myself tested for ADD/ADHD.  There are 18 indicators that my doctor used and I met 16 out of 18.  I am not really "hyper" as I always have something in my hand to fidget with.

So glad to be back to the routine.  My kids had regional science fair Saturday, and I had to drive them to Muncie (about a half hour away) the last two days for state testing.  It's just nice to get back to normal, or at least what passes for normal around here.

Making memes out of pictures of your Grandkids will get your wife to yell at you about posting pictures of the messing dinning room on the internet.  Problem is it was perfectly clean until about 10 minutes after the grandkids showed up.

Tomorrow, the funeral of my brother-in-law's mom.
That's not a good start of this new week isn't it?

Funerals are never a good way to start a week....or end one either.

Ugh.  There's never a good time for a funeral.

Two friends of my wife lost a parent in the past week.  Funerals are sad for many reasons.  I'm doing one of the Order Of Services, which makes it even more sad - as you read stuff over and over again.

So I started listening to Slayer's Reign in Blood for the first time in my life.  Me likey!

This funeral was sad too.
