That all sounds fascinating. Will you be publishing these or just speaking to them at conference? I enjoy reading your work. I'm about half way through your thesis at the mo. I'm learning a lot I didn't know about the birth of Christian metal and the furor it caused in the church. Really interesting read.

- Hi y'all. Been keeping my head down the last few weeks. How are ya's?
Doing well. You? Hope you got some good stuff done. DEFinitely got some good stuff done. One song mixed (it's the 6+ minute epic ending called "Erased") and another (Behind the Veil) nearly ready for mixing (tomorrow??? if the stars align) and another (Spellbinder) rewritten and ready to record. With those done, we'll be able to announce a release date. Phew and yay!
Here's an unmastered sample on my Soundcloud. Sorry I can't post more of the vocal, but this is taken from the last song of the album. I wouldn't want to give the ending of the story away. This sample starts about 2/3rds the way through the song and cuts off before the last verse starts, but you'll get the idea.
https://soundcloud.com/jennystokes-nz/erased-unmastered-sample/s-RA8DH
...and here's a sample of a work in progress called "Spellbinder" that I've been wrestling with the last few days. These are just dry test vocals with a preset reverb added to lift the vocals in the mix (just for the sample). I'm hoping to record the final vocal track next week. Fingers crossed
https://soundcloud.com/jennystokes-nz/spellbinder-vocal-test-2/s-XaqUX As per usual great sounding stuff!

| The chalet we've rented two weeks ago in the mountains was cool On the second floor I've found a very old big bass, with only two strings. I had to play on that big bass every time I walked on the stair down or up.
What's the proper word for a big bass that stands on the floor?

| It isn't anywhere near mowing season yet this far north....I think they're calling for some snow still the Tuesday after Easter. Just bought a new house in Feb, my yard is about the size of a postage stamp, I'll mow half of the neighbor's yard just turning the mower around! | |

Move out here bro. Only the rich have grass up and away from everyone else in their 20 acre secluded houses. That and the local Park. No one else can afford the water and upkeep

The punk thing is going to be published in a book probably next year. I learned yesterday that I'm apparently Chapter Two right after someone's analysis of the early 90's Tooth & Nail bands. The Ellington Paper is just a conference presentation, but it is based on one of my master's thesis chapters.

That's God's job around here! My yard is mostly weeds, but it's green. I am not the type to fertilize, re-seed annually, aerate, etc. The only upkeep I have is the 3 gallons of gasoline and gallon of weed killer I purchase. I use the weed killer to go around the foundation of my house and out building. Then, I don't have to weedeat. I just use my electric start self-propelled push mower. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I don't really have to worry about mowing for now. I'm in an apartment building, so the landlord takes care of whatever little lawn we have. Either way, it's still quite snowy here, so no one's mowing now. | |

My city is surrounded by farmland so every lawn is packed with lawn weeds that have floated in on the wind. Sigh. Thankfully, we don't need to water. Rain anyone???

Niice. Sounds lovely RV. Mine's more of a gathering place for the weeds of the world. I used to have a lovely garden but it's gotten away from me these days. Dandelion can be quite lovely in large clumps.

| I had a student tell me they were gonna kick my @$$ today at school. He was severe special needs at that. He also said a few other things I didn't know he knew how to say or in the right context. This boy has echolalia and is most likely parroting things that have been said at home.
Man, you gotta love working with special needs kids!

How did I respond? Well, first I yelled at him to just get back to the room. We were in the cafeteria. He wouldn't budge. So, we have a vice principal who is much taller and more intimidating than me. I asked him to help me escort the boy back to class. When we went to go to lift him up by his armpits, he jumped up and was more than willing to walk. Once I got him away from the audience of the cafeteria, I ignored the boy. He can't stand being alone. I even put on some extra quiet sensory headphones (aka shooters headphones) so he could talk to me and I wouldn't hear. That made the young man realize that I was super hurt by his outburst. I pulled my earpiece away from one ear and he was crying and softly going, "Quiss, pweese wisten, pweese!" It broke my heart, but I knew I needed to keep up the mean old man persona to teach him the lesson. We isolated him from the rest of the class yesterday where he could still see us, but we did not interact with him. It wasn't a true time out as he could still see us. This was the first time this has ever happened to any of us at school with this young man. If he were not special ed., I would have had him charged for assault because of the threat.

Here in the desert there is no good soil whatsoever. While I would not miss not having winter, I don't think I could stand the heat of the desert, either. For my allergies, it would be good as I had no allergy problems at all when we visited Las Vegas many years ago. My wife, however, suffered the whole time we were there. Besides, your cost of living there is way more than mine. There are too many liberals there as well. Being here for you would not be good. We get some deep cold times during the winter. This year, it was about 6 weeks of bitter cold. Pain of any kind is bad, but pain during extreme cold is worse. I have some arthritis in my ankle where I have that steel plate. During the winter, it hurts. It's an annoyance the rest of the time with only minor aches when it rains during the warmer months. I could imagine, with all the hardware you have in your back, that the frigid air here for those 6 weeks would reek havoc on you. Besides, you couldn't get your pain medication here as it isn't legal for that here in TN yet.

| It was really time to do work in the backyard. I've pruned all my roses.
Now it's time to make a plan for some new plants in my backyard, plant some new climbers, a Japanese wine berry and a new black berry bush. For year and years I love it to have a prairie plants in my backyard. I love the combination from tall grasses with perennials.
