| Went in to HMV to buy The Last Jedi. HMV had an interesting offer (I should have taken a photo of it!) £9.99 each or 2 for £20. Now that's a deal you can't turn your noses up at! Funny thing is, one of my friends bought two DVD's because of that deal. I told him on Sunday that it wasn't the best deal in the world and he was like... _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| Bit like the guy who said...
"I can give you a million pounds (dollars). All you gotta do is do one thing for me.!"
"Sure, what is it?"
"Give me two million"
"DOH!" _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| That's hilarious Sort of reminds me of Costco. I'll buy an economy size of a product over and over for years... until one day I discover if I just buy the single pack or whatever, it's more cost effective to NOT buy the bulk, but lots of single packs. | |

| HMV still exists in the UK? They went bankrupt last year in Canada. I managed to grab a Star Wars t-shirt for a decent price, but it was a little too small even for me. I gave it to a slightly smaller friend. | |

| Yep, they're still going over here. I guess as they're a UK company maybe they pulled out of other countries first when things were going a bit pair shaped. _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

Is that another Britishism, or just an odd Fundy saying? _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| lol!
Sorry, it should have been 'pear shaped', but I typed it too quickly and then didn't check my post! Oops! One day I'll get the idea of checking my spelling!
Anyway...
"A British expression used to indicate that something has gone horribly wrong with a person's plans, most commonly in the phrase "It's all gone pear shaped." The origin is unclear, but one theory says that it is RAF slang relating to the difficulty of performing aerobatic loops, which were described as "pear shaped" if executed imperfectly." _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Ahhh, that makes sense. Some people might use the term here in the states, but I had never heard it in that context before. I have heard a few in the U.S. the term "pear shaped girl/woman", but I think that one is pretty self explanatory. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Yep, that's why I always check the per unit pricing (and sometimes do the math myself when their numbers don't seem right). | |
