Breaking Through the Wall - Joshua's Creed Sample

Joaquin got a little lead work done on our song Breaking Through the Wall:



No vocals yet.  Unfortunately we're on a vocalist search again.

All jokes aside, I actually could hear some cowbell when the pattern changes at the end when the lead dies off and the bass becomes more prominent.  It would help the song to shift gears there without any significant changes.  Little nuances such as this can make or break a song.  Just try it during that space and see how you like it.  Replace the high-hat with it.

Are you friends with Metalfro?  I don't know if he has the gear or not.  I was going to use him for a vocalist years ago but he didn't have the equipment.  He actually could sing in a similar style and range.  Had he had appropriate recording equipment back then, Mission Of One would have had a singer.

If you wanted something more gruff, I would take a shot at it.

Yes!  Josh Dieckmann.  He used to post at CMR under the name MetalFro.

Actually, we didn't work together for TWO reasons.  I was using my Korg recorder which makes collaboration on my end difficult.  It took a lot to sync the guitar solos for my last Mission Of One CD.  That was one reason.  Josh not having a way to record back then was also a problem.  So, I ended up just doing the vocals myself.  Had we been able to work together, I think we could have made some killer tunes!

I'll have to look him up.  His name isn't ringing a bell.
