| I haven't been doing it yet, but again this year I'll be taking a break from the board during Lent except on Sunday nights to post my playlist and do a quick catch-up. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| At the risk of sounding like one of your parents.......go look it up Here is a little bit of what wikipedia has to say about it.... | Quote: | Lent, in most Christian denominations, is the forty-day liturgical season of fasting and prayer before Easter.[1] The forty days represent the time Jesus spent in the desert, where, according to the Bible, he endured temptation by Satan.[2] Different churches calculate the forty days differently.
The purpose of Lent is the preparation of the believer—through prayer, penitence, almsgiving and self-denial—for the annual commemoration during Holy Week of the Death and Resurrection of Jesus, which recalls the events linked to the Passion of Christ and culminates in Easter, the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

| Tim, it is normal for you to not really know what Lent is. As Southern Baptists, we don't generally celebrate Lent. It's okay to, and I can see the value of it to many. However, it is a practice that our churches just have not embraced. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. |

| It isn't practiced in many of the Baptist, or Non-Denomination churches in the North-West either. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I am embarrassed to say I did not do as well this year as in prior years. Been struggling to "let go and let God." _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."
