Tonight is all about the ice, snow, cold, winter, and frozen nature of the season of winter! Of course, it's not snowy & cold everywhere, but here where I'm broadcasting from, it's definitely winter! Of course, black metal is rife with winter/snow/cold/ice imagery, but plenty of other genres & styles of music use these things as imagery and allusion in their music as well, so I decided to pull out loads of stuff from my playlist that has something to do, in theme or simply in title, with the coldest season - namely, winter! Metalfro, do you ever save the shows in a format good for PODcasts and loading onto MP3 players later?

^^ I am planning on doing that, just have to work out the logistics. Since it's a 3-hour show, it will take a while to upload, even when I downscale the recording quality. The other consideration is, Windows 7 works differently than XP, so the whole "recording the entire soundcard source" thing is something I'm working out, in order that I can get both the voice audio when I talk, & the music of all the tracks I play. If I can get that worked out, I'll plan on making a podcast of my show & posting it weekly once it's up & running.

Tonight is a special episode - usually the month's "theme" episode happens on the 3rd Sunday of each month, but this month, we're celebrating Easter and the surrounding holiday's by playing songs that lyrically revolve around the themes of the Easter season. Themes like the Passover meal, the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, his death & resurrection, and His ascent into Heaven. It his His sacrifice we remember at this time, and for this reason we celebrate the life of Jesus Christ - He is risen!
