| About two weeks ago me and my daughter, Cathy, went for a hike on Mount Frankenstein. When we came back my daughter had an itch on her ankle and scratched off a tick. Unknown to me, the head remained in her skin and yesterday she came to me and showed me a large red spot around the tick bite. We went immediately to our house doctor and he took a blood sample and determined that it was Lyme disease. My daughter is on heavy antibiotics (pills), which is actually the only discomfort she has. I've seen people infected with Lyme disease before when I worked as a forest firefighter in the Northern California Mountains. If you catch it within two to three weeks, it is nothing more than a discomfort. After that you need intravenous antibiotics for at least three weeks.
Need some prayer that the antibiotics do their job without complications. Bless you all. |

| Definately praying that the antibiotics will do the trick. _________________ -- "One day you'll stand before God and realize it wasn't about you"

| Thanks all for the prayers...other than the side effects of the antibiotics, Cathy is doing really well. Today the doctor did some more blood tests to rule out the chance of her being infected with a deadly strain of tick born disease that has killed several people here in Germany over the last ten years. Those tests were negative. Thank you Lord! |

| That's awesome Dreams!
Praying that she can get off the medicine soon and be feeling back to normal! Also I have heard of this disease before, is it true that whatever is in the tick can also cause hallucinations or am I thinking of something else? |
