Hey, you've got to do what you can to get a gig, I suppose!

Anyway, Wilson Central High School is having their final Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) meeting today. I have gone and spoke several times, but today they just want me to come and lead worship for them. I'll be doing several contemporary worship songs--probably no original tunes this time.

It ought to be fun!

That's great they asked you to do the final Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
I remember you have spoken a several times for the FCA.

Good luck when you have to lead this worship.
I'm interested to know what songs you have chozen to sing.
I hope it will be a great swinging praise for God.

Tell how it was please.

I don't see anything wrong with leading worship for the FCA.
All for God's glory. Make 'em rock!

It was a lot of fun. I ended up speaking as well. So, with two speakers, and a fun illustration, we only had time for three songs:

If We Are The Body
God Of Wonders
My Savior My God

Now maybe it's a good idea to start in August with a FCA praise service too?
A very good start of a new school year.

Not speakers like you would use with a PA system! I meant two people delivering a message. They are also called speakers.

But, yes! I did use my acoustic.

Can I ask what a PA system is?

What was it you have spoken about?

PA stands for "public address" system. For a band, it usually consists of a mixing board, power amps, and your speakers through which the crowd hears the music.

We both spoke on Moses and how he was the leader of the Israelites--God's chosen people. When Moses heard from God, he had to obey in order to succeed. The Jews were going into battle, and God tells Moses to hold his staff up all day and they would win. When Moses would get tired, he would lower his arms, and they would begin to lose. So, Aaron & Hur held his arms up so that the battle would be won.

Since they wanted to encourage the new leaders for next year, I compared this story to FCA. They are pretty much a little church inside of a high school. Their leaders need to be hearing from God and obeying His commands. The junior leaders need to support them through "lifting them up" through prayer and assisting them in following God's directions. Then, and only then, will this group be successful in reaching other kids for Christ.

Now my hope is that the junior leaders will be obedient to God to
So grow in their faith when the align on God.
That they can help others at school.
That God will give them the strength to lift up others.

My kids often ask me how I know God really excist.
I tell them it takes time to start a relationship with God.
He really is there but you can't see Him.
The best way to know God better is to talk to Him.
Yes tell God about your "every day things"
Then at one day you really will notice that God will answer.

My yongest has final exams for High School.
Last week three, this week the last two.
I asked him before he started with his first exam last week if it's OK to pray for him.
He said yes.
I pray with him before every exam and my hope is that He really will feel God is with him when he has to do his exams.
That will be the best for him when he really feels God's presence on the moment he needs God.
