Halloween. 1987. All the Freddy masks for sale looked ridiculous.

I had to make my own. I started with saran wrap and some paper mache to form the inside part that would set against my face.

When dried, I began shaping a thin layer of paper mache around a styrofoam "head".

Using White Bathtub Caulk, I mixed oil paints using the caulk as my "white".

about 4 artists spatulas and many hours later....

Meanwhile, my brother was welding me a real steel FingerKnife Glove that I later airbrushed to look like copper




The final costume came out pretty good =

The worse part was the constant smell of sweaty caulk. I got the sweater from a thrift shop and used rit dye in a spray bottle to make the signature Freddy top.
Yes, it was cool to run the blades along windows and make that scratching sound....</A>

It would be exactly 6 months after that halloween of '88 that I would respond to the Call of my Father in Heaven to come and make His dwelling place in me, sealing me until the Day of Redemption - HalleluJah !

The Halloween of '89 was at Church and of course called "Fall Festival".... I dressed up as Jonah.

Complete with fisherman's net, seaweed, messed hair and stomach acid bleached skin....
