| Yeah, it did get lost in translation.
I went out again today for a little while looking for two sites in Lebanon, TN. I found one micro fairly fast, but I am learning that I really need a better GPS to do this. An automotive unit is not the best way to do this. You really need to be able to find coordinates based on latitude and longitude. The Garmin nuvi 200 I have gives good driving directions, but kinda sucks when you enter in real coordinates.
The 2nd micro I went after was a DNF (did not find). I think it is on the opposite side of the freeway than what my GPS is telling me. _________________ |

| I have ordered a sweet Garmin unit to help with finding geocaching. It is a Garmin eTrek series. I think I'm really going to like this sport better with the right tools. _________________ |

| My husband figured out on his Black Berry is an option you can use for geo catching. I hope we can figure this out in the weekend. Yep, I promise to stay away from the train. |

| I don't have a Blackberry. I've been trying to do this with an automotive GPS. It works, but it is not very accurate as far as searching by longitude/latitude. I found someone on the discussion forum at Facebook about geocaching that was selling the Garmin eTrex Venture HC unit I was wanting to get. At Amazon, the cheapest place I can find these, the price was $128. This person had bought a new unit and was only asking $65 for this. The new Garmin came with the owners manual, computer cord, installed batteries, and a geocoin that I have registered and will eventually hide in a cache that I find. So, as soon as this nasty rain moves through, I am getting out hunting again. I have put together a nice, but inexpensive hiking pack to help with this. I have a backpack that has my trekking pole, camera, GPS, small notebook, pen, gloves, multi-tool, small foldable saw & shovel, and my goodies for trading. I am SO ready to get into the woods and see what I can find. After payday, I am planning on becoming a paid subscriber at www.geocaching.com so that I can see better caches and be able to transfer multiple cache sites to my new Garmin and my old one! Combining the two, I think I'll be a caching beast! _________________ |

| Do you think the link you have given me works here too? When you don't see me for some days you know we are lost and it didn't work.
When you start with geocaching, you have to search things they have hidden with an GPS thing? |

| The link www.geocaching.com is a worldwide group. There are geocaches hidden around the world. So, it should work for you. Once you get registered, send me a friend's request. To do this, you either need a GPS, the right app for your Blackberry or iPhone, or just be incredibly good with a map and compass. I'll be lazy and take the electronics. _________________ |

| Not only have I found a few more caches, I have now hidden two. I have a few more planned.
One of my caches was rejected. We have a law against placing any kind of game in or within 528 ft. from a cemetery. So, I have to move this cache. What is so bad is that I have found two other caches, and those were inside cemeteries and have been there for years. Mine is outside, but is too close. So, I reported those two caches. I'll move mine and get it reinstated. _________________ |

| Sabidoo and I got to go for a little while yesterday afternoon. We found a few caches, and met a fellow cacher out looking for the same thing we had just found! That was kinda cool! _________________ |

| What are things people hide so others have to find it? My husband needs a program on his Black Berry then we caching too.
Sabidoo, do you needed to buy a program you can use for geo caching for your Black Berry? |

geocaching.cm has an app for the Blackberry. I had it for a while and LOVED it, but I no longer have my Blackberry._________________ I refuse to have a signature line. |

| I've been doing this for about 3 months now. So far, I have 6 hidden and am awaiting a 7th to be approved. I have found 176 so far in two states. I did know that this would become more of an obsession than a hobby. _________________ |

| We had quite a few snow days. Also, I spent a couple of days with Sabidoo hunting together. I also went out a few times with a friend of mine. My record day so far is 29. _________________ |

| My niece started Sunday too with geocaching. We like to start too but need a GPS first. Maybe we can do a bit of geocaching in Canada too, I only hope not to find a bear. |

| I'm up to 184 finds now. I'm having to start moving out some from home to hunt because I have found all but two in my area. One of them is currently unavailable as the owner is reworking the cache. The other is considered a nano, which is incredibly small and difficult for an inexperienced geocacher. I'm going to wait awhile before trying that one again. _________________ |
