3 new Mission Of One songs

Take a look at the Mission Of One MySpace page. There are three rough mixes of some new songs. The leads are still rough, and the vocals are all I've got. I am looking for a new singer, and I am going to be trying to use multiple guitarists to make the leads come to life. But, you will definitely hear a classic hard rock sound with plenty of grit. I might be stuck in the 80's but there was no better decade musically to me!

Your best stuff yet musically. I don't like the "Feed my Sheep" part of the chorus of that song for some reason, but that's a nitpick. Did you overdub some choruses?

Can't listen to anything on this computer, but hopefully will later on today..........

Love the guitar work ... the basss .... the drums.
Even tough it are rough versions the sound is very good.
You've done a good... very good musical job.

I did overdub vocals on the choruses. It's called "backing vocals". LOL

The mixes aren't final, and I still hope to find a vocalist and a couple of guitarists to redo the solos. Then, I'm planning on getting this mastered right this time.

I agree "Gloryland" is brilliant- a combination of METAL and GOSPEL. And I love the lead guitar work.

Well, I know that. I wasn't sure if you had just done some pitch shifting software. Matt Smith said he overdubbed up to 70 times for some of the choruses on the debut Theocracy.

No, it was just me doing a really bad falsetto. It blends well with other voices, but my high falsetto sounds worse than Elmo on an energy drink by itself. Otherwise, you might have gotten the full "Brian Johnson" treatment on this disc.

Actually, as far as recording, I don't use ANY software. My recorder is a digital unit that sits on a table. I don't use any computers for recording. That's why getting guests on my recording for guitars/vocals becomes more difficult. I think I have the ability to edit with this unit, but having someone physically IN the studio is easiest. If something isn't right, punch in and do it again.

If Unforsaken Productions is gonna mix and master this that is good news. IMO the albums Thomas and Hoops have created show some of the best sounding production (from indie albums) that I have ever heard.

Somehow, I don't think it would have made a difference. Too big of a difference in style from previous releases, and I think that still would have hurt me.

I wish I still had the tracks from "Show Me The Way". I'd get you to remix and master it. But, I sold the old recorder I used to have, and ended up losing all those tracks when I wiped the memory clean.

D'OH!!! Too bad, man. Hey, maybe one day you can do a re-recording of it. I'd be happy to help out if you do.

The more I'm listening to your new tracks, the more I'm liking them. They're your best stuff yet, alldat and am really loving 'No Other', which has a great rhythm to it.

Had a new drummer come in last night and work on three songs. His name is David England, and he lives right here in Watertown! Who ever thought there were more than a handful of musicians here! Anyway, David was here for about 3 1/2 hours and knocked out the drums for 3 more songs. One of these 3 tunes really came to life because of David's playing. While the song has this fast AC/DC vibe, he put this strange alterating beat in part of the verses. I'll be honest--I thought it was gonna sound like crap. But, when I actually heard him play it instead of talking about it, it fit and is awesome!

That's very good you've found a drummer.
Now you can work on the songs when sabidoo is at work.
I'm curious to listen how those songs sound.
Still listen to the first three songs and the more I listen the more I like them.

How many songs are complete now?
Now ... maybe there's in Watertown a vocalist who can help you out ... or a guitarist to help you with the guitars?

There may be many musicians lurking in watertown!

As for the album, it's gonna be a good un!
