X-Sinner radically departed from Peace Treaty and Get It when they made Cracked. The project was offically by X-Sinner Presents Angry Einsteins. They made no claim it was the same style of music, and thus they kept AND changed the band name to keep from making their fans angry about the change in style. I thought it was quite clever of them, and I love the album.

I can't say that I love the album, but I do think it was very clever of them. The got to keep name recognition and still do something radically different.

I love XSinner but I actually think Angry Einsteins is their best album musically.

If a band can reinvent themselves and do it successfully, that's true talent.
Doesn't usually happen that way, but it is possible. (goes back to another thread where I proposed that the "Newsboys" should just change their name, since there's not an original member in the band - Yet the new Newsboys is excellent, just not Newsboys anymore)

I also thought that X-Sinner did the right thing when they (re?)released Cracked. Putting the X-Sinner name on there meant you knew that it was X-Sinner guys doing the album, but you also realised that because they were called "Angry Einsteins" it was going to be a different style.

Well done, I say!

As for the new Newsboys... It ROCKED big time. I thought it was so much better than their previous stuff (although a number of reviews would say otherwise)
