We still have a Toyota too (2000 Sienna, mini van), and it is a great car. I thought of getting a new Toyota for myself, but the Kia had a better price and a better warranty.

Just remember that KIA is Killed In Action.

I told my 15 year-old son that very thing last night. He kept trying to call the car "Akia" so I told him "No, it's K.I.A., just like in combat....Killed In Action".
 

Worked a 10 hour day today at Dollar General, due to one of our personnel quitting. What made it even worse was that we have freezing rain in our forecast, and darn near the whole town showed up to get last minute goods, like batteries, flashlights, candles, bread.

Except that we were out of bread this morning, and the bread man didn't get there until about 3 hours after we opened, and by then, I thought the bread guy was going to need a presidential detail to keep all the customers off him.

My parents have two Toyotas, and have had many more. They may be comfy and reliable, but they are not ideal for those who enjoy driving (like me).

I HATE it when the digital thermometer insists on putting dashes in front of the numbers!!!

Power was out for 6 hours this AM. Feeling for all caught in the ice storm.

Yikes! too cold to be loosing power.

Ironically, we didn't get an ice storm. We got a bit of freezing rain on Thursday, but that turned to rain and it was nice and warm.

Had to drive on a short section of ice over a bridge today . . . not fun.

I love driving on an overpass in the summertime and the sign before it says "Bridge May Be Icy"

Parking lots were slippery today on account of loose snow. Didn't hit any curbs or pedestrians, but I learned more about inertia today than I'll learn in physics class.

Hopefully more of the ice will melt away today.

Now you guys are talking about an ice storm, I don't dare to tell what weather we've here.

That sounds fantastic!  What flavor storm did you get rockerVu2?  We haven't got any good storms, but there was a pretty good layer of vanilla frost all over the place this morning.  I was hoping for mint-chip but maybe next time.
