One of the reasons they chose that spot to build this place is it's perfect weather practically year round.

Actually, it sprinkled all day the day after their wedding. But not at the wedding sight, just where we live in the hot dry desert. Didn't bother the newlyweds much since they're on a Mexican cruise living the good life.

All these weddings going on in the last few weeks made me have a dream that my 18 year old daughter came back from basic training early and was getting married...and she didn't tell my wife and I until the morning of the wedding!!!!

All these weddings are so confusing. I can make neither head nor tail of who is getting married to who.

i have some friends getting married that day as well. At 11:11 PM.

There will be several international geocaching events held that day 11-11-11 at 11:11 AM and PM.

There was one cache at a mall in France, it was hidden 10/10/10 10:10. I didn't get to find it though.

This is us in Catalina recently... Little did I know when my Mom took this pic, that the pain I was having at the moment would grow into a total excrutiating 6 hours of agony passing a kidney stone. My body always picks just the right timing....

Reading glass (or the old arm extenders). Almost everyone needs them some day.

Here is one of my daughter on the obstacle course in basic training (that's her on the upper right). I still can't believe she is old enough to be in the military.

Wow. Definitely a proud daddy there.

Actually, I've had them for 3 years. My eyes are both 20/20--just not focused the same. That gives my weaker eye (left) a bit of a halo effect when I read. To describe it, it makes a page look like it has a glare on it. My right eye is 20/20, but the left is moving closer to 20/30 but is still in the range to be called 20/20. My prescript was just for +1.00. I could have bought some el cheapo ones over the counter at Walmart, but I don't trust my vision to those. So, I buy the prescription ones. I had already had my previous glasses for 3 years and I wanted a slight change. I liked these because of their retro look but with a modern twist.

The glasses of my son are similar to yours.

My daughter has completed all of her requirements and will graduate from Army Basic Training tomorrow (I hear nearly half of her company failed). Today is a family day, so my parents (who live in Texas) drove over to Missouri to visit here. They are taking her out to lunch at Arbys (she has not eaten fast food in two months). Oh, and yes my parents are bikers.

Great photo's Staybrite. Looks like your father is someone you wouldn't want to mess with, which would have been great in the playground and used in the classic "My dad's better than your dad" dialogue!

My dad (step-dad) is an old biker guy, and at about 6ft and 250lb he does seem a bit menacing. But he isn't really a tough guy at all (well not anymore)...I'm also pretty certain he has never killed anyone (well at least not outside of Vietnam anyway). Besides he only has one real leg, so if he started to try and attack you all you would have to do is get him off balance, then make your escape.

My mom on the other hand is a completely different story. She is only 5'-2" but she carries a 9mm in her purse. If you made her mad or threatened her she would just as likely pull out her peice and blow you away, before even trying to talk it over. She pulled an 12-inch butcher knike on a guy in a parking lot and was seconds away from putting it to use on him. Fortunately for him he came to his senses and backed away from her in a hurry (true story).

Well there's something we have in common... my grandfather only had one leg too! His other leg was chopped off in a field when he was five (the harvester got more than he bargained for!)
