Wow, that is one horrible way to loose a leg (reminds of of the guy who had both his arms ripped off in a thresher). My dad lost his leg in an Italian grand-prix style motorcyle race. The chain came off of the motorcycle and wrapped around his leg. It caused him to dump the bike on his leg. They might have actually been able to save the leg, but the hospital took too long trying to figure out if they should treat him or send him to Germany....sadly he got gas-gangrene in the leg and they had to amputate it.

They make fantastic grandparents, and they were pretty decent parents too (at least they let me live).

Too many stories like that. it's a shame. My brother's friend had to wait too long for a Dr to do his rounds, by the time he finally got to his room, he had sepsis* and died the next day. Could've lived if they got to him when he first got to the hospital.



* Sepsis is a severe illness in which the bloodstream is overwhelmed by bacteria.

That was with the Band Ascension mid 90's in Selma Alabama.
That day there were tornado warnings all over the State while we were playing but while we were on stage it did not rain a drop. Broke down and the instant we shut the door on the car after packing up the absolute bottom fell out.
On the way back to Birmingham we got hit by a severe thunderstorm and as a result tottalled the wagon I was riding in. I will needless to say never forget that show!

Christmas present, from my brother to me, to replace those of the Hamer:



I replaced them on the 27th or 28th with some assistance. The old strings were constantly losing their tune, and were full of dirt. The new ones sound great and keep their tune.

Thanks The fox comes to visit from time to time. Every time, it fails at finding a meal.

Count yourself lucky, usually we just get opposum, racoons, or the occasional rat from the nearby farm.

No, those are wild turkeys! Although they're kinda domesticated by now, what with how my dad feeds them.

Yummmm wild turkey, now I know why mr fox was so anxious to m-eat them.
