So after my post about looking to buy a new guitar at some point, and my recent 50 Favorite Albums post... how about we talk about our favorite guitarists? Anyone up?

John Sykes and Nuno Bettencourt - I thought I was alone in my opinion of those guys.

I have owned several Washburn guitars over the years and wanted a Nuno signature model badly....until I played one. The body was so tiny it felt like a toy to me....

My favorite is III Sides... Cupid's Dead is a monster tune. Good lyrical content, too.

III Sides is a good album. Gets a little mellow for me but definitely has some good music on it. I give it a spin now and again. I haven't listened to anything after Punchline.

I also should add Shane Speal and Samantha Fish. Shane is probably the father of the current cigar box guitar movement and is doing quite a bit to further the craft. Samantha is a blues artist who does play some cigar box guitar but also wails on a six string.
