| Does anyone have any family traditions that they do every year for Christmas, or atleast try to do.And if so what are they, and why do you do them One of my many is getting up around 5:00am,on Christmas morning, with one of my sibs and making breakfast for our parents. thats always fun cause their room is right beside the kitchen and its hard to be quiet and not let them smell the food. | |

| That is a cool family tradition. Can't say that we do too much, other than make fudge together every year. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| We go to both my family and Holly's family on Christmas day. It gets to be a major deal and fairly stressful trying to cram all the activity into the day. But, around 5 or 6 PM, my wife and I finally get home, put on our jammies, and open our own gifts. To me, this is Christmas. I love both of our families, but I like the quietness of being able to just enjoy time with Holly on Christmas. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Maybe I'm being too Scrooge-ish, maybe it's because I have nobody to share it with or just MAYBE it's because I am p!$$ed off at the world, but Christmas has no meaning to me anymore. It's all about GETTING presents. It's about running around and shopping and coming and going. It's all about ME, ME, ME! It's about NOT offending anyone. If it were cancelled for all times, I wouldn't be bothered in the least. jmho | |

| We go to church first and then we invite family. This year my brother and his family are coming. First we make a walk and then we drink something together. Then it's time to prepare the Christmas dinner. I have an old single aunt and she's coming to spend the second Christmas day with us. The kids will go or bring friends with them on both days. Sometimes we give each other gifts for Christmas. No not this year.
What my most precious Christmas moment is when I hear the sounds of the bells from the churches to announce the people that Jesus was born. It's the sound of the bells in the dark night.

| First we dump thousands of dollars into the hands of greedy malls and online shopping companies, then we greedily open each present hoping that we don't offend anybody.... JK.. sorry Sabidoo. Actually, we wake up when we wake up... all of us see Christmas day as an opportunity to sleep in. Then we make what's called "DoughBoys"... deep fried dough that's buttered and served hot. This tradition began with my wife's family when they were kids. Their Dad would make them every Christmas. Then in the past we would ravage the presents under the tree and be surprised at what we got... however, this year the kids are getting older and so are we. We've decided to take the stress out of Christmas and just pick out a few things that we want and wrap them just so it looks pretty under the tree. Yes, we buy our own gifts now. Strange but easier. Anyways, we then trek over to my family's house 15 miles away and have a Christmas lunch/dinner and just hang out. | |

If it were cancelled for all times, I wouldn't be bothered in the least. Not having someone special to share the day with does make a difference. But, for the most part, I agree with you, bro. Isn't that ironic that two guys with the last name of "Dickens" are the two most Scrooge-like? _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| We don't have many family traditions at the moment. And to be honest everything's been changing over the last few years so it's a bit of a transitional time. Maybe when things get abit more 'settled' traditions will start taking place. Prior to 2003 we used to watch the Queen's speech at 3pm. Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... | apolo - She just talks about the year and how things have changed and then wishes everyone a very happy Christmas. It can often be rather dull, but there's something quite Christmassy about it that makes it watchable. alldat - great avatar. I would change mine aswell, but I only changed it a short while ago. That's the Grinch!!! If you have not seen it, you MUST watch "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" starring Jim Carrey.
