Really bad time in my life. Thought about suicide a lot. Between being garnished for back taxes and learning how to forgive years of hurt by my dad who had just passed away. I was a very bitter person.

I was just scrolling through family photos for the last several years. 2011 is full of pictures of my wife and teenage daughter doing pageant stuff, and a our last two foster kids. There are almost zero pictures of me and my boys...except for a summer trip the whole family (minus my daughter) took to Leavenworth Washington.

Ten years ago today I went to see Weird Al Yankovic in concert at the Ryman auditorium.
No, my memory isn't that great. If Facebook didn't have the memories that come up every day, I would not have known the exact day.

Wife made me take her to see Weird Al, but it was probably closer to 18 years ago. Incredibly talented musician.

The same thing I'm doing now but it marked the beginning of a long, strange trip that I've been on for 10 years. Instead of working at one place, I've been a healthcare traveler throughout the U.S.

^I've heard that can be quite lucrative though! We have a friend who's a traveling nurse and makes bank. It's opened a lot of opportunities for their family, though is a bit difficult in the moment.
Eleven years ago I had just graduated college, moved back in with my folks, and started a job (where I'm actually still working for - though now as a contractor). Ten years ago I moved into a great little rental "cottage" and was living the bachelor life: very socially active and involved with church, eating poorly, and very single hahaha.
