So little power metal in christian music.

Love the Hammerfall, Firewind, Brainstorm sound. Innersiege and the last Sacred Warrior are there and the Sacrificed are close but I wish there was more. Just throwing it out there.

It seems like there are a ton of Euro Power-Metal bands (double bass pounding through 90% of the music) but not nearly as many classic American type Power-Metal bands.

Check out Spittin Jonah, Shining Force and Septer for some good Christian (American style) Power Metal.

Not to give you (or your impressive list) the proverbial "poke in the eye with a sharp stick" (truly love you brother). But CHM has always existed as a place to discuss and promote specifically "Christian" hard rock and metal. So including bands with anti-Christian (or even purely secular) themes would be counter to what we are supposed to be about. (please see the last few lines from the following thread).

GOtcha.  The "advanced search" option for The Metal Archives searches for keywords, so I did "Christianity" and so of course it's going to come up with "Anti-Christianity" as well.  I didn't take the time to search through the list, find, and delete those ones when I initially posted it; I figured anyone could just skip over those couple.  But I went back and found/deleted them so now it's CHM-kosher!

  Haha oh goodness, you have no idea how often I'm asked what my middle name is (my last name starts with a 'K' - and no, my middle name does NOT start with a 'K')!

And every once in a while I'm asked if I'm Jewish because of my curly hair, or told I look like Adam Sandler or some other well-known Jewish fella.

Eh, that's just a one-minute search/copy/paste effort from the Metal Archives!  Did you download that free Ulterium Records sampler?  It's mostly all power metal and mostly Christian.  It's got some good stuff!

I think there is plenty of power metal.  What we need more of is sleeze & hair metal bands.  Where are all the bands that sound like Tesla, Motley Crue, Cinderella, Slaughter, Night Ranger, Ratt, AC/DC, Skid Row, Whitesnake, etc?  THAT is where there is a serious shortage.

That's true, a real dearth of that stye.

I guess I want more then 2 releases a year in PM but there is some.

If you want more than two releases a year in any kind of Christian metal you will probably have to switch to metal-core

I never could take them.  To me, they are a bunch of monotone noisemakers.  Show me you have some real talent and learn to SING!

"Make a joyful noise to the Lord" (Psalm 100:1).  If the untalented, monotone noisemakers are spreading the Gospel with their noise, then Praise the Lord.

Well, some people hear the stuff we like and wonder how anyone could listen to it, especially if you like extreme metal. Eh... You can't please everyone. People are gonna have different musical tastes. Some people really dig monotone vocals. Some don't and that's okay.

You're braver than me.  I can't seem to get past the vocals to even make it through an entire song.
 

I mostly did deathcore but yeah, vocally it got old.

You may want to check out the band Screams Of Angels.  They are a brand new American power metal band with one album, "Into The Warzone".  They are a Christian band, but they are called to non-Christians, so they don't want to be labeled a "Christian" band.  Google them.
