I think Kerrick has a very comprehensive list of bands. I recommend Seventh Avenue. They're similiar to Helloween. We also play a lot of Power Metal on The Anvil over at Untombed Radio

I'm not a fan of Euro power metal, because the double bass gets annoying after a while, and there's generally no character to the high vocals. That said, I like American classic/power metal bands like Armageddon, Dreamer, and Neon Cross.

I have all but quit listening to Euro power metal for the very same reason.
