We did this musical drama this past Sunday morning. If you'd like to watch, I will share the YouTube link. Skip to about the 6 minute mark to see the beginning. You will see my on the top left side of the choir loft singing bass.

"Nothing is impossible when you trust in the Lord". That's what I needed today.
Thanks for posting this today. It's interesting to see more on the YouTube link.

I didn't know you sang bass. I tend to sing alto.

Well, originally I did not sing bass. I have a nice rich baritone voice. I've always wanted to be able to sing heavy metal, but my range just isn't high enough. In the past few years, though, my baritone voice has dropped in pitch around a half octave. I used to be able to sing baritone and hit some tenor stuff. Now, I can really do baritone and venture into bass. Alas, my being able to sing as high as Ken Tamplin or Michael Sweet just isn't going to happen. Most men's voices drop in range as they age and usually after age 40. I am no exception to this.

That means that you can sing like Jimmy P. Brown on some of the later Deliverance records… right?

Actually, I can! I can now also growl like Randy Rose on his rock solo albums. Fortunately, I mostly sing in church and have a great voice for that setting with a lot of power and vibrato. I have yet to sing in a church setting where I actually needed a microphone.
