Welcome to my new Facebook CHM

Yeh, I know.. that didn't last long did it ? Haha !

First, I want everyone here at CHM (who wants to) to FRIEND me.  I'm not going to seek anyone out this time, I want to provide my new screen name to you all, then send me a request.

Second, in sending me a friend request, I MUST know who you are since I don't know a lot of actual names here (just monikers).  Send me a friend request and just say "hey this is ___ from CHM"... unless it's obvious like "Kerrick" haha ! Or peeps I've known for a zillion years like Alldat, etc.

Third, don't make fun of my new moniker at Facebook  ... I honestly didn't know the word was an acronym also (but that's ok, cuz the acronym actually describes me pretty good as well) (thanks for pointing that acronym out Staybrite  )

Fourth, I'm a real person. You may say "no duh", but I say this cuz I don't want anyone friending me who will later call me out on some language, or secular music I listen to, etc. (this happened a few times by other Christians I knew, as well as family) -  I try to be sensitive to other believers as I do think we should all strive to be Christ-like and walk the narrow as best as possible.  But I'm a sinner (thus the "Guilty/Forgiven" name all in one), as are the rest of humanity, so, with that said, if you're easily offended or legalistic, you will not wish to have me as a FB friend.

And finally, the info:  I am now "G.F Fubar"
Yeh yeh I know.  I wanted a name that didn't have my actual name in it, but one that had a meaning to me. 

The GF is obviously "Guilty/Forgiven" where the last name was meant for it's Webster's Dictionary definition:
"Out of working order; seriously, perhaps irreparably, damaged."  There's some silliness in this chosen name, but there's also deeper meaning to me, and I hope to one day change that name. 
Only later did I learn the acronym part of it...

So, I look forward to my small circle of friends joining me on Facebook, and anyone here who doesn't want to, I totally understand and would never hold it against ya

Oh and I'd like to add one more thing... Please don't tell others that GF Fubar is Jim Willis... I'm trying hard to remain anonymous to everyone but my close friends only.
I realize it's impossible to remain anonymous on FB as people can put 2 and 2 together, but I'd like to lay low for a while (gosh I'm starting to sound like a convict on the lam... how exciting !  )

You can set your profile settings so that nobody can see your posts except for those on your Friend's List.

I think I already did that... but the instructions are kinda vague.

That's a great setting. Even if someone tryst to share your status nobody in their friends list can see it...unless they have friended you both.

Is this what you're talking about ?  Cuz I have it set for "Friends" only.

I actually had heard the word before... but honestly didn't know it was an acronym. I even knew the basic meaning of the "word" -which is what I was initially going for. But actually the acronym really fits at this point as well... so... que sera sera

Have you seen the movie Tango and Cash? They mention and explain Fubar in it.

Never seen it. So many movies I haven't seen... got a lot of movie making up to do now that I'm off.

You can still be found with a search. That's why I deactivated mine.

Couple days ago I finally switched back to my regular Facebook, so my temporary FB under the name GF Fubar is now dormant...

Hopefully no one is posting there, or PM'ing me there.

I haven't rectified the situation that led me to a reclusive FB, but I'm tired of other people making my life uncomfortable and bringing uninvited discord in my life. Therefore, I'm back at Jim Willis Facebook, and anyone who isn't happy with me can just deal with it.

One of these days I'm gonna hafta get counseling or a shrink or something.... sigh

Just dump all your mental problems on facebook...cheap therapy (that probably doesn't work)!

I've been wanting to go into more detail with all that's happened with my brother and his wife, but feel like all I do is whine and gripe when I post in the prayers section.

However, I'm thinking I need to get it off my chest soon as I have NO ONE who gets it around me, no one who will listen.... so just maybe I will soon sit down and write my "issues" in life as a means to therapy for anyone who'll listen.

You can always PM me a copy if you don't feel led to share with everyone...seems like we have probably seen the worst of each other.

Feel free to PM me.  I dump my issues here on you all when I have really big stuff.  Ok, I don't dump it all because, like Jim, I don't want to sound like I am whining.
