I just bought a new laptop. This thing works radically different than anything I have ever used. Its a Toshiba and the home page is full of apps that you click on. I am trying to figure it out.

I get the Christian only bands part but the "stumbling younger persons in the faith" goes against the very core of my theology and I could not help in this project. What is the definition of a christian and an edifying christian album? Whos definition are you going with. Would strypers " the covering" be included?

I have noticed that children and people around or with children are sick way more than everyone else...that's why I avoid kids and those with or around them.

I think the Covering would be fine and not "stumbling" per se.

First, I don't think theology is the term you're looking for. Theology is the study of God and what you believe about God Himself and His Nature.
What we believe about the Nature, Person and Work of Jesus is the core of our salvation and what brings together or separates.

All other ideas are peripheral and not central to our salvation. The concept of stumbling for me is, to put myself in the shoes of someone else in a given situation and ask if something would lead me in the right or wrong direction. For example, I would include Megadeth's new albums in the archive since Dave came to faith and his lyrics reflect that, but would not include earlier albums that have non-Christian or anti-Christian lyrics on them.

The Covering is an altogether separate thread, but I see it as an innocuous bridge for those "sniffing" around the faith. A great draw-in for those who are curious and interested. I personally have no problem with the songs on that album. But on the other side of the coin, I have a problem with the "Pre-Christian" albums of many other artists such as Brian Welch, Cooper, Mustaine, etc. and some of those artists agree with this too (ie Dave won't play certain songs anymore, Blacky Lawless refuses to play certain songs as well... this is true repentance) - and I would include history and information regarding their early works and coming to faith... but would not include their early works as part of the archive itself (though they may have mention, they wouldn't be included as if they are ok for a Christian to listen to or have in their collection).

I don't always communicate very well - but to summarize my point, the principle of stumbling is different for each person and isn't an issue of theology. That was what I was getting at.

Actually Blackie is doing the 30 years of WASP tour and performing tracks from every album including the first album in its entirety. Personally if I went to see WASP and they didn't play all the old stuff I would find it disappointing..as for true repentance I disagree with you. You don't see it when it's gone. I'm almost certain the point she's trying to make is that she will be happy when the sun returns. But I could be wrong.....it happens daily.
