My back is starting to feel better.  What happened to me Sunday that made me really hurt was my disc that had partially slipped was also compressed on one side.  The other side of the disc had expanded causing me to be bent to one side last week.  When I bent down Sunday and experienced a new pain unlike what I had felt before in intensity was that disc shifting all at once back into it's natural position.  When that happened, it pulled on the muscles on the left side of my back and caused a major muscle cramp/spasm.  I am still feeling the pain from that spasm, but my lower back pain is now gone after 3 trips to the chiropractor.  My doctor is confident that the rest of the pain will be gone in a few days.

I am moving better, and the pain from that muscle spasm is still there but subsiding.  Thank the Lord for healing!

That's very good news.

Just got up from a 3-hour nap after a weekend at another snow camp. This time, I knew a lot of the people there from having worked at the camp during the summer, so it was great to talk about old times and the inside jokes. However, I got bunged up a bit. Basically, 7 of us piled onto an inner tube and went down a sliding hill. We got too close to the edge where there are snowbanks, and so my face scraped against the hard snow. It stung like an angry bee. I had a bit of blood on my face, issued from:
- Scratches on my nose
- My nose itself, apparently
- A couple scratches below my eyes
- A patch of ripped skin on my right eyelid

The last part is the worst, because it's slightly swollen and forcing my right eye to stay sort of shut. I can open it most of the way, but it hurts. Oh well, I guess it'll heal somehow. Needless to say, that little adventure sapped any wish to go outside more than was necessary.

Just tell everyone that you got in a fight and that they should see the other guy!

Funny enough, that's exactly what both of my parents said I should say!

Which makes this the perfect time to go and get that prom date!  Never underestimate the power of pity, how do ya think I got my prom dates?!

So here I sit preparing my mind for what I'm about to do.

In order to have back surgery (which I need as bad as I need my next breath), I cannot have any possible infections in my body as that could cause post surgery problems. I also cannot have any loose teeth (which is the question they ask you before they knock you out and shove a tube down your throat... they don't want to risk breaking off any teeth that are loose) - well I just happen to have a slightly loose tooth that has a shattered root - the diagnosis from 3 different specialists has been "there is no hope for this tooth - it MUST be pulled". They actually said my body is rejecting the tooth. {{shudder}}

In one hour I will be sitting in the oral surgeon's seat while they dope me up and dig this tooth out of my head. I am sitting here waiting for my ride. I am not looking forward to this. I would rather have back surgery than this.... I have no choice though....sigh.

That's like insult to injury. Praying for you today.

By now, some of you know, they pulled the wrong tooth.

I always thought these things happened to other people.

Now I'm a statistic in the medical field. A mighty pissed off one I might add.

Yesterday the storm has blown away the window of the room we have on our attic.

That's really bummer Guilty/Forgiven they pulled the wrong tooth.
Now they have to pull the other tooth too.

Is this day really happening ? Or is it like one of those realistic dream/nightmares that you wake up from and go "dang that was so real"...
