All it takes is a quick "I wonder if this will stick..." and Boom! Bread dough on the ceiling.

Jen, maybe it's not very interesting to create a new garden, find plants for your rock garden or having your grandkids two days a week. But these are the things I love to do.
I am searching for plants who are growing in the Alps. I've seen such a beautiful things there.
I love to cook too.
I've had pancakes on the ceiling. Yep, I really had.

You are very blessed to be able to see and care for your grandchildren. My Mum and Dad did the same for my sister's first child. It brought them much joy. I know it makes Mum sad that she doesn't see her grandchildren much. We are a family that is spread across the world: some in NZ, some in Canada, and some in the UK.
As for gardens, I think creating a new garden is a very satisfying thing to do. An Alp inspired garden sounds lovely and quite original. Have you been to the Alps? I would love to visit there but have never had the chance to do so.
What sort of food do you like to cook? My favourite meals to make are ethic ones (Indian, Italian, Thai, Japanese) and I love making cakes, but I can't claim to ever having pancakes on the ceiling. How on earth did THAT happen???

I bet it had something to do with boys in the house.

Jen, I love to cook Italian food and other recipes I find and like to make.
I've been so many times in the Alps.
The "ceiling pancake" happend when my husband was spending so many time in the shed to do things. I told him the pancakes were ready to eat and it took a long time before he came. I was so mad at him that I threw up a pancake and he kept sticking to the ceiling.

Oh Yvonne! As you tell it, I can see it in my imagination. I'm curious. When it didn't come back down again, what did you do?

I have never thrown food, but I did throw a handful of dog biscuits at my wife many years ago when we were disagreeing loudly.

I wish I could be so honest with my feelings. Conflict avoidance is my m.o. If you want to have angry words with me, you're going to have to chase me to do it. lol
Dog biscuits and pancakes are a much healthier way of dealing with anger. It's better out than in, I say.

Saturday my youngest son came to pick up his clothes and other stuff. Yep, the moment was there he left the house. It's strange to see his empty room.
It takes me time to get used to this.
All three my kids are having their own household now.
A house full of kids was busy, but this quiet house is not fun.

From time to time my husband is telling the "ceiling pancake story". He was the cause for this story. I was watching the pancake on the ceiling. I think after some time the pancake landed safely on the kitchen floor.
Normally I'm a ver patient person, but there are times that you smash pancakes on the ceiling.

I'm kind of looking forward to an empty house (kind of), but I don't want my children to go too far. My daughter lives about 6 miles away (which is great). My 20 year old has moved out and moved back in...so really looking forward to him moving away. My 18 year old leaves for the Army in less than two months.... I'm not looking forward to him being gone.

So one year ago I was in Iowa for an interview. They took me to a "Mexican" restaurant. It's never a good thing when the taco meat has no taco seasoning

I can only imagine how my parents felt when both my brother and I were away. He's moved back in, but I'm still far from my parents for the next few years. It must be surreal.
