Really looking forward to the "Take Another Swig" remaster, "Give It To Jesus" is still one of my favorite Mission Of One tunes.

Well so much for waiting, I listened to the two songs you posted on f.b. and they sounded fantastic.  
I love your guitar tone on these songs.

That's the power of a Line 6 POD.  It's just the small kidney shaped processor, but it has some kiler tones built in.  You can also customize the sounds and save them, but I like it because I can quickly find a sound I like.  Very plug 'n play.

I do the same thing with the bass.  Instead of an amp, I use a processor called a V-Amp.  Again, I can just plug in and find a tone I like.

Did you like the drum tones?  Again, that is an electric kit.  It sounds very realistic, but I think a drummer could tell that they are not acoustic drums miked up.

Listening to "Walk On Water". The sound is pretty darn good. Congrats!  As for the drums, they aren't perfect, but I guess the cymbals give it away.

I don't know if it's just me, but I kinda hear a gospel/blues/old hymn sound whenever you do gang vocals ("you can walk on wat-eeeer"). Kind of a hint of the state in which you live.

Again, congrats on getting this done. I hope you can get it published soon.

I have to confess to not paying a whole lot of attention to drums in any song unless they are really bad.  These certainly didn't sound bad at all to me.

Yes, I do sound a bit "southern" in my enunciation.  I can't really help that and not sure if I'd want to change that anyway.  It's who I am. 

As for the drums, I think that they sound amazing for what they are.  This is definitely an electric kit, but they sound much fuller than most electric drums.  The cymbals were a lot more crisp in the mix before mastering, but they had to be clipped a bit because they were causing ear fatigue.  So, you can tell that they are not real metallic cymbals.  They are rubberized pads, actually.  But, sabidoo and the other drummer I used did a wonderful job.

G/F--I am looking at options on CDs right now.  They will come, but I need to find the lowest cost for me and provide a quality product at the same time.

When the CD is available I will be in the queue too!

I just finished listening to "Hostile To The Gospel" in its entirety (off pre-release promo download files- one of the perks of the job of being a record reviewer!).  And I have to say that I am very impressed.  You nailed the rhythm guitar sound perfectly (if I were to record a hard rock album this is the type of guitar sound I would be shooting for).   Also, I think the drums sound fine (no complaint there) but there is also enough room in the mix for the bass to breath.

In terms of specifics, what I am hearing is a joining of classic hard rock (sort of like vintage Rez Band) but mixed with some bluesy groove and metal tones (that bring to mind early nineties Bride).

I do not want to give away to much here (more details forthcoming in the review scheduled for two weeks from now) but you all are in for a real treat!  BTW, when the CD version is ready I plan to buy a copy!

If you had caught the slight Mad At The World/Rose influences, I would say you have what I was shooting for perfectly pegged!

I know you will do a much more in depth review, but your opening comments are amazing.  Thanks for that, and I may actually use that as a blurb to help advertise.

Chris - Have you have set a release date set for the initial download files?

Not yet.  I am looking into a couple of different ideas for distribution, and I don't want to set a date until I am totally sure.

I don't know if anything will become of any of these, but I have submitted the project to Retroactive Records, Roxx Productions, and Tate Publishing to see about possibly being picked up for distribution.  I may or may not be what any of these are looking for.  It's in God's hands now.

I have sent this out to several labels like Roxx, Retroactive, Retrocross, Sanctus Gladius, and a few others.  So far, no bites.  However, I do have an offer from one company on the table.  Lift me up in prayer as I want to do what God desires--not my own.
