Who did it?

John Cassandro of Spoken Image Designs.  I knew John when he lived here in Tennessee.  I've often wanted to be in a band with him but things just never worked out.  So, he has played on one of my CDs before on drums and now is contributing the cover artwork.  In a roundabout way, I guess we do get to make a little music together.

I received an email from Tate today saying that they had mailed my artwork proofs.  That's good news!  If they have mailed the proofs, that means that we are definitely headed to final production!

Very good news.

I got the proof copy of the disc today. On a cursory glance, they look amazing! I still have to read through and check for typos, but those would have been done by me when I sent them to Spoken Image for design. Anyway, once I approve the proof copy, then the CD can be printed and be ready for my tens of fans!

It's real ... the CD is coming very soon.

The inserts look great and I can sign off on those.  Sadly, they accidentally cut off four songs from the CD.  So, we have to get those put back on before I can approve this final packaging.  I think this will be an easy fix, though.  At the worst, I can just resend mastered copies of the four songs in WAV format.

Tate is supposed to be sending out a new proof CD with the missing songs added to the final project.  My production rep said that she did not know why the songs were left off.  I am just hoping to get this cleared up and get you guys and girls a CD soon.

When the proof CD is good, the CD can be made?

I got the updated proof from Tate yesterday and am currently listening to it to see if we are ready to go to print.  I hope this doesn't take much longer, folks.

Are lyrics and pictures included in the liner notes?

The lyrics are in there.  There is only one pic of me in the liner notes, and it is a negative print.  I think that the pic is up on my personal Facebook page.  It's been doctored a little for the CD insert, though.  I thought of using some others from that same photo shoot, but this one just fit with the color scheme.

The corrected proof is ready to go.  I have emailed Tate to notify them that we are ready to go to print.  I have asked about possibly doing preorders even if I have to handle that part myself.  I will let you know as soon as I have some information.
