Mission Of One news

As of right now, the project is 100% mixed and all approved by me! It's time to move forward to mastering, folks. It looks like Pastor Brad will be doing the mastering for this project and hopefully for the old "Take Another Swig" album as well. That album was never mastered and you can tell it. So, I am going to get it done as well.

Any takers on designing a cover for "Another Swig"? I don't have a budget for this and can't really pay anything. I'd be glad to give you credit on the project so that you can use it to help build a resume. I am not worried about the font for the band name (needs to be changed from Missionary One to Mission Of One) and the album title. I would like to see something different than what I had to start with. How about a skeleton drinking holding a liquor bottle? Use your imagination and do your own.

You could use something like this pic, but make the skeleton look more like a skeleton instead of a guy in a costume. Also, making the the pic something drawn and not a photograph would be sweet.

I'd do somethin' for ya but that's a bit beyond my skill set.

What can your skill set do? I'd be willing to look at anything that looks good. Like I said, the album title was "Take Another Swig". Do something on your own that represents that title. I'd like to see it.

give me a day or two I'll come up with a couple.. like 'em, use 'em .. hate 'em.. don't..

I think CHM has members who are able to create a wonderful cover for "Take An Other Swig".
That will be great news when Pastor Brad will master "Take An Other Swig too.
I love that album.

Now, everything goes fast with "Hostile To The Gospel".
Mixing is done, now the mastering.

Good choice with Pastor Brad as your mastering technician- I felt he did a real good job with the Razorigami CD. Also, I have never heard "Take Another Swig" so am looking forward to getting acquainted with it.

Forgive me, I kind of did my own thing with this... and had alot of fun in the process.

I'm no artist, but I'd tweak the skeleton idea to put him in a grim reaper cloak with the requisite scythe and instead of pointing to you, he's holding out a bottle.

It's kind of bitter-sweet cuz I recently obtained an original CD of SWIG and now it's being remastered and re-released.... THAT'S the one I'd want, but I gotta watch my spending. I set out to spend 40 bucks per month max on CDs and that rule has been broken every month by an extra 60 bucks.
So, I'm setting aside cash for the "HOSTILE" album cuz that baby is MINE the day it comes out !!!!

Uh, I'd be stealing other people's work. And I really don't have time to spend the hours it would take me.

I would still like to see a couple of possible cover ideas for the remastered "Take Another Swig" project.

In the next few days, mastering will begin on both projects. Who will be doing the mastering? Brad Windlan! You all will know him better as Pastor Brad who has recorded several albums and even released one with Roxx Records.

I'm sure some members on CHM are able to design a cover for "Take An Other Swig" that fits to the title of the CD.

It's absolute wonderful "Take An Other Swig" will be remastered.
It's one of my most favorite CDs.

Now, that's great ..... one brandnew Mission Of One CD and the debut CD remastered.

Is there a chance that "Show Me The Way"will be remastered too?

Keep us posted about the progress of the CDs.

To remaster "Show Me the Way", I would have to go back and overdub the bass drum over all the tracks. I just did not get that loud enough in the mix. Not having that machine, I can't remix it either. I'd have to take the current mix and overdub the bass drum to make it stand out and then have it mastered. I am not saying it won't happen, but it won't happen anytime soon.

As for the mastering of the two projects already mentioned, that has begun!

That is making it harder to remaster "Show Me The Way".
For now the remastering of "Take an Other Swig" is very good news.

I'm so curious how the remastered "Take An Other Swig" sounds.
Both CDs are in good hands with Pastor Brad.

It looks like the mastering is finished. Brad Windlan has sent me both MP3 and WAV files for me to use on whatever I need as far as selling downloads or making CDs.

When can we expect the disc? Give me a little time. I have a couple of things "cooking" that might be cool for Mission Of One and my 13 worldwide fans!

It's so wonderful you have gotten the help of Jacob and Brad to mix and master the CD.
